1: Of my Musalmān friends
Al Zuhar Al Vaqār smiled at me.
“Al Raħmān Al Åbbās wants to talk to you, Durgesh.”
“Al Zuhar Al Vaqār, you know I never like to talk with the husbands of my ex beloveds. Yes, I like him as a human being, but…”
“He wants you to invite on our marriage anniversary, Durgesh.”
“Are you crazy? Yes, Al Raħmān Al Åbbās was so nice to you that he even gave his name to our son. But he didn’t have another alternative. Did he?”
There was a pause.
It was as if Al Zuhar Al Vaqār looked at her husband.
“Well, I don’t think so. Abbū wanted to save his face in front of Ummat-e-Muslimah. He purchased Al Raħmān Al Åbbās to marry me, even while I was pregnant with your son in my womb.”
Suddenly, the receiver squawked with the vibrant voice of Al Raħmān Al Åbbās.
“Sorry to interrupt and disturb you, sir. If you have forgiven me for consenting to marry with one of your Panjvaqtah Namāzī Saåūdī Årab Wahābī Musalmān beloveds, I’d feel immensely honored if you please oblige us by attending our marriage anniversary. I wanted to talk with you about your son’s future too.”
“I see.” I said gravely.
“Believe me, please. I hadn’t another alternative except to obey Doctor Al Vaqār Al Åbbās. He had brought me up, after my parents expired. I was an orphan and…”
“I know.” I interrupted him.
“I need to talk with you. It would be better, I think, that the real parents of Muħammad would too have a say in deciding his future.”
